A Server in Driftwood and Blue

I picked up this pretty antique mahogany server on Sunday at the flea market and got right to work on it. It had already been painted in a mocha, though not well, and the previous person had painted the top too, which seemed a shame. I sanded it down to prep for painting and stripped, sanded, stained, and sealed the top in a driftwood gray stain to compliment the nautical blue of the case. I painted the interior in a pale dove gray. This is one of those great pieces that's so versatile. You could use it in a kitchen, an entryway, a dining room, in a bedroom or hallway, as a tv console or bar, the options go on and on!
